Kishan is an accomplished Quantity Surveyor and Cost Engineer with a proven track record in the production of complex contracts and contract administration with over 26 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Construction, Building, Roads, Rails, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Mining, Pipelines and Infrastructure services.
He is a qualified Quantity Surveyor and has a diploma in Project Management. He is registered with the Association of Quantity Surveyors and an associate member of the Association of South Africa Arbitrators (A ARB). He also successfully completed the Construction Engineering Management Programme (CMP) at Stellenbosch University.
Kishan has worked with a number of forms of contracts including JBCC, GCC, FIDIC, COLTO, COTO and NEC. He has worked on projects country wide in various disciplines and his experience includes Africa, UAE and South Africa.
He also has extensive experience in the preparation and quantification of contractual claims.
He enjoys outdoor activities, travelling and spending time and relaxing with his family.

Tim is a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying obtained in 1998 from Technikon Pretoria (now known as Tshwane University of Technology). He has a Diploma in Project Management obtained in 2002 with Damelin Education Group in association with University of Cambridge. In 2017, he obtained a certificate in Construction Engineering Management Programme (CMP) at the Stellenbosch University.
He affiliates with professional association bodies as a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (MAQS) and an associate member of the Association of Arbitrators South Africa (A.ARB).
Tim has over 26 years’ experience in construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager in the following sectors Civil Engineering Construction, Building, Roads, and Infrastructure services mainly Southern African countries and England. During this period, he has worked with a number of forms of contracts including COLTO, FIDIC, GCC, ICE Conditions of Contract (UK), JBCC, and NEC.
In his spare time, he spends time with his family and friends, jogging, hiking and playing golf.

Ivan is a qualified Quantity Surveyor holding a Baccalaureus Technologies Degree from the Technikon Pretoria. He is a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors.
He successfully completed the Fellowship in Arbitration course administered under the auspices of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) and a Fellow member of the Association of Arbitrators (FAArb).
He has over 24 years’ experience in the measurement and valuation of work for engineering, mining and construction contracts and also has extensive experience in the preparation and quantification of variations and contractual claims on the African continent and the Middle East.
Ivan is the author of several statements of claim, defences and replies for dispute processes and has acted as an expert witness in arbitration and litigation matters.
He further has extensive commercial and contractual experience on large to mega projects.

Vuyokazi Johnson is a result driven, self-motivated and resourceful Quantity Surveyor working as part of effective team managing all the costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, rails, electrical and mechanical, roads and infrastructure with over 20 years’ experience.
She is also registered with the Association of Quantity Surveyors and an associate member of the Association of South Africa Arbitrators (A ARB).
She has a proven track record of minimizing the costs of a project and enhancing value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Possessing excellent foresight & the ability to plan ahead when working on construction projects. Can communicate effectively with contractors/clients & would be an asset to any project.

When not at work, Vuyo enjoys volunteering at a local homeless shelter, travelling and spending time with her family & friends.

Werner has over 24 years of experience in the Civil Engineering Construction industry and has worked on a variety of projects ranging from Petro Chemical and Steel plants to Buildings, Civils, Roads and Infrastructure.
Werner holds a Baccalaureus Technologia degree in Engineering: Civil and a Certificate in Arbitration at the Association of Arbitrators South Africa, where he is also registered as a Fellow Associate member (FAArb).
He has worked on a number of forms of contract such as JBCC, FIDIC and NEC which involved projects both in neighbouring African countries as well as locally (nationwide), where he held the position of a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager. He has also been involved in numerous legal and arbitration matters where he acted as a Quantum analyst.
He also has experience in the application of COLTO, COTO, SANS1200, SATCC and the Standard System of Measurement for Building works.

Prior to coming to Abacus Construction Jenny spend over 10 years as a personal assistant and debtors clerk at a magazine for the South African Road Transport and Logistics industries. With a total of over 15 years in the finance industry she brings real life work experiences to the small business owner.
Jenny is an honest, reliable go-getter. She is used to working on her own and believes in getting the job done to the best of her ability and is very proud of her work.
